Then she blamed Jordan’s family.
Angela read the statement aloud.
“The Reed family benefited from a process compromised by undisclosed relationships.”
Jordan stared.
“She’s saying we cheated?”
“Yes.”
They hadn’t.
Foundation records proved it.
But the accusation spread online.
Parents argued.
Some defended Mrs. Whitmore.
“She helped my child.”
“She raised money.”
“She cared.”
Jordan learned something ugly.
