The estate reviewed every receipt.
Documented expenses totaled $18,700.
Those were reimbursed.
Other claimed cash withdrawals were rejected.
Mara also sought a share of the clinic settlement.
That request failed.
She wasn't entitled to compensation simply because she had been Sophie’s guardian.
Her later misconduct made the claim even weaker.
Our own civil claim against Mara was different.
We didn't want revenge.
We wanted accountability.
The final agreement required her to pay $55,000 from her available assets over time.
No dramatic destruction.
