“She thought turning off the camera turned off the truth.”
The hearing room became silent.
Claire testified next.
Mrs. Whitmore stared at her the entire time.
Claire explained exactly how she reconnected the cable.

“I was scared she’d see me.”
“Why did you do it?”
“Because she unplugged it before she started.”
