The burial records were falsified.
The Bennett family had been living inside a manufactured history.
Marcus contacted Daniel that night.
“Now you understand.”
“Where is Mother?”
Marcus laughed.
“You think I know?”
“You worked with her.”
“I worked for people who claimed they worked for her.”
“Why Vivian?”
“She approached me.”
Daniel froze.
“What?”
Marcus explained that Vivian had learned about Emily months earlier.
She feared that another biological child could threaten Noah's inheritance.
Marcus manipulated that fear.
But he insisted he never told Vivian to drop Noah.
“That was her decision.”
“You expect me to believe you?”
“No. I expect you to check the recording.”
Daniel did.
Audio enhancement revealed Vivian whispering immediately before dropping the baby.
“He'll forgive me when he understands.”
She had genuinely believed Noah was not Daniel's son.
Marcus had poisoned her mind.
But Vivian had chosen violence.
Daniel would never excuse that.
Then Marcus offered a deal.
Find Eleanor.
Expose Charles.
And he would surrender.
Daniel asked one question.
“Where's Vivian?”
Marcus hesitated.
“I lost her.”
“You kidnapped her.”
“I moved her.”
“Where?”
“Daniel…”
“WHERE?”
Marcus finally answered.
“Charles took her.”
The call ended.
Hours later, police found Vivian's abandoned car beside a reservoir.
