Daniel entered the abandoned facility alone.
Marcus stood across the room.
For the first time in eleven years, the brothers faced each other without screens, photographs, or graves between them.
Neither spoke.
Then Eleanor smiled.
“My boys.”
Daniel felt nothing.
“You destroyed this family.”
Eleanor disagreed.
“I protected it.”
She explained everything with terrifying calm.
Bennett Technologies had once been close to bankruptcy.
Eleanor created illegal offshore financing to save it.
Marcus discovered the scheme.
Rachel later discovered it too.
Charles helped conceal it.
Rebecca managed the money.
When investigations threatened them, Eleanor staged her death.
Marcus staged his own disappearance for different reasons.
Eventually, everyone became trapped inside the lie.
“What about Rachel?” Daniel asked.
Eleanor's composure changed.
“I never ordered her death.”
Marcus looked at her.
Daniel noticed.
“You knew.”
Marcus lowered his eyes.
“Her accident wasn't supposed to happen.”
Daniel moved toward him.
“Tell me.”
Marcus admitted he had arranged for someone to frighten Rachel into silence.
A car was supposed to follow her.
Nothing more.
The driver became aggressive.
Rachel lost control.
Daniel hit Marcus.
Once.
Hard.
Marcus fell.
Daniel stood over him shaking.
“My wife died because of you.”
“Yes.”
Marcus did not defend himself.
Daniel wanted to hit him again.
Then he remembered Lily.
Emily.
Noah.
He stepped back.
“No more.”
Sirens approached outside.
Eleanor smiled.
“You brought police?”
Daniel looked at her.
“No.”
Marcus had.
For the first time, the older brother had chosen the family over the secret.
Federal agents entered.
Eleanor was arrested.
Rebecca surrendered.
Marcus surrendered too.
