Eleanor and Julian flew to Geneva while Leo remained with Marcus.
During the flight Julian finally spoke.
“Why did you come back that night?”
Eleanor looked at him.
“Because Leo needed me.”
Julian nodded.
“And me?”
She hesitated.
“Unfortunately, I still loved you.”
His eyes filled.
“I don’t deserve that.”
“No.”
She looked out the window.
“But deserving love and receiving it have never been the same thing.”

Eleanor noticed.
