The falsified consent investigation finally produced evidence.
Former Harbor Ridge records assistant Paula Kent testified under immunity for her role.
Seven years earlier, after the embryo transfer had already occurred, Denise Hall realized donor consent was missing.
Paula said Denise brought her our storage authorization and a blank directed-donation form.
Instruction:
“Use the signatures and make the file complete.”
Paula scanned our signatures from storage form into donation form.
Did she understand legal significance?

Why comply?
“Denise was my supervisor. I thought the transfer had already been authorized verbally.”
Did she know we had not consented?
She knew no donor form existed.

That is frightening enough.
Denise pleaded not guilty.

Shared credentials.
Memory after seven years unreliable.
Civil discovery emails hurt.
Denise to clinic director:
Mercer transfer completed. Carter inventory reconciled as loss. No patient notice needed unless they ask.
