Chapter 25 - I sell the mansion staircase

Not literally the staircase.

The whole house.

Two years after the incident.

People thought I moved because of trauma.

Partly.

Mostly because the house was ridiculous.

Eight bedrooms.

Formal dining room used six times a year.

Three staircases.

Staff wing.

More landscaping than one family needed.

Lily asked:

“Do rich people have to live huge?”

“No.”

“Then why did we?”

I had no respectable answer.

Habit.

Status.

Expectation.

We bought a smaller home.

Still comfortable.

One main staircase.

Gates while Noah needed them.

A yard.

Lily chose her room based on sunlight.

Not distance from Noah.

That mattered.
