Chapter 6 - The house had more cameras than Vanessa remembered
I owned Cole Meridian Holdings, a commercial-property and industrial-services company.
We were not a surveillance business.
But after a burglary two years earlier, I installed security coverage around:
Exterior doors.
Main hallways.
Staircases.
Garage.
Service corridors.
No cameras in bedrooms or bathrooms.
No nursery camera connected to the security system; that was a separate baby monitor controlled by parents.
Vanessa knew cameras existed.
She apparently did not remember every angle.
My security team preserved ninety days of footage.
We began reviewing dates corresponding to prior “Lily incidents.”
Noah’s arm bruise:
No relevant camera inside nursery.
But hallway footage showed Lily had not entered the nursery during the time Vanessa claimed.
The spilled bottle:
Again, Lily was downstairs with her tutor.
Timestamp confirmed.
The red shoulder:
Camera showed Vanessa carrying Noah toward the playroom moments before he began crying.
No direct view of what caused mark.
But Lily was outside with gardener.
Three accusations.
Three timeline problems.
