Chapter 10 - Red Hook At 3:15 a.m., rain hammered the Brooklyn waterfront.

The abandoned cold-storage facility stood like a rusted tomb beside the East River.
Inside, Frankie’s sister was tied to a chair.
Six guards surrounded her.
Volkov watched from above.
Then the lights went out.
Darkness swallowed the building.
A gunshot cracked.
One guard fell.
Another spun.
“Contact!”
Gunfire erupted.
Adrian moved through the darkness.
His heart monitor tracked every beat.
His body was still weak.
But his mind was clear.
Vincent's team breached the rear entrance.
Within minutes, the guards were down.
Frankie's sister screamed when she saw Adrian.
“Where's Volkov?”
“Above us.”
Adrian looked up.
Volkov stood on the gantry.
Holding the hostage.
“You came yourself,” Volkov said.
Adrian stepped forward.
“You took the wrong family.”
Volkov laughed.
“No, Moretti.”
May you like
His revolver pressed against the woman's head.
“I took exactly the family I needed.”
