Robert had written it for Clara.
To be opened when she turned eighteen.
The words on the front were simple:

Ethan wanted to open it.

So they locked the letter away.
Nobody opened it.
The mansion was sold.
The foundation recovered.
Scholarships returned.
Victoria lost every fiduciary position.

But the dynasty changed.
Clara eventually moved into a new home.
A house with two floors.

“I don't want stairs deciding where we live.”
