Ethan began seeing the pattern.
Victoria didn't need everyone to be corrupt.
She only needed enough people to stop asking questions.
Then the family mansion went up for sale.
Clara watched from the car.
“Are we selling our house?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
Ethan looked at the enormous building.
“Because a house isn't worth losing a family.”
Clara thought about that.
