Chapter 15 - BIANCA WITHOUT MORETTI ARMOR

Bianca completed probation.

Her family did not exile her.

Salvatore refused to speak to her for three months, then resumed.

Her mother never stopped.

Matteo was angry longer.

No one stripped her of money.

No hidden mafia punishment.

She sold the wedding gown.

The proceeds went to a children’s charity.

I heard through lawyers.

Part of me thought it was performative.

Then Michael said:

“Not everything she does is for you.”

Right.

Bianca started therapy seriously.

Not court minimum.

Years.

She moved out of the apartment near Villa Rizzano and bought a smaller place in Boston, away from the family circle.

She returned to work in luxury hospitality consulting.

Competent.

Successful.

Then one day, three years later, she requested permission to send Livia a letter.

Dr. Morris reviewed it.

The letter said:

I cut your hair because I was jealous and angry about things that were not your responsibility.

Then:

I wanted your father to prove something to me, and I used you to test him.

Specific.

Then:

You did not ruin my wedding. I did.

Good.

Livia was six.

She listened.

Then asked:

“Do I have to write?”

“No.”

She drew nothing.

May you like

Sent nothing.

Also good.
