“You shouldn't have hit Vivian.”
Stallone nodded.
“No.”
“You shouldn't have hit me.”
“No.”
Silence.
Grant looked down.
Then he said:
“Thank you for picking her up.”
Stallone looked toward him.
“That part I'd do again.”
Grant nodded.
“I know.”
“How is she?”
“Loud.”
Stallone smiled faintly.
“Good.”
“She cheats at board games.”
“Better.”
Grant laughed.
It was the first time they had laughed together.
