Margaret's voice filled the room.
“Daniel will give everything away.”

Henry's voice became cold.
“Stop.”
Then Margaret asked:
“What if the baby isn't his?”
A long silence.
Henry finally said:
“Is that what you're planning?”
Daniel closed his eyes.
His father had known.
He had seen Margaret coming.
And Henry had created the trust to stop her.
The recording ended with one sentence.
“If you attack that child to get at the company, Margaret, you will lose more than money.”
Daniel sat alone afterward.
For the first time, he understood that Noah had been protected long before he could protect himself.
