Chapter 29 - The Second Chance Our second wedding was small.

No cameras.

No billionaires.

No foundation gala.

No secrets.

Just family, friends, Arthur, and the people from Harbor House who had become our family.

Camille attended.

She had rebuilt her life too.

She apologized to me one final time.

I accepted.

Not because what she did was acceptable.

But because I no longer wanted to carry her anger inside me.

When Daniel and I exchanged vows, he looked into my eyes.

“I once watched someone hurt you and did nothing.”

His voice broke.

“I will spend the rest of my life making sure silence is never my answer again.”

I squeezed his hands.

“And I will never again confuse love with losing myself.”
