Chapter 8 - The Missing Four Minutes The video had a gap.
Exactly four minutes.
Evelyn noticed it immediately.
“Someone edited this.”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“Because the missing four minutes contain the truth.”
Daniel stared at the screen.
“I don't remember.”
I looked at him.
“You don't remember what?”
“The crash.”
His voice became quieter.
“I remember getting into the SUV.”
He rubbed his temples.
“Then nothing.”
Camille's voice suddenly came through the speaker.
“I told you he was drugged.”
Everyone turned.
She stood in the doorway.
The guards had failed to stop her.
Camille looked exhausted.
But she was no longer smiling.
“Daniel didn't know what was happening,” she said.
Eleanor appeared behind her.
“Enough.”
Camille turned.
“No.”
For the first time, Camille looked directly at Eleanor without fear.
“You promised me protection.”
Eleanor's face hardened.
“And you failed.”
Camille laughed bitterly.
“That's what you always do.”

Then she said the words that changed Daniel forever.
“You destroyed Arthur because he found out about the trust.”
